  • No matter how much sleep I get, I still feel exhausted

  • I’m having trouble with memory or concentration that is new and/or unexplained

  • I’m always on the verge of an emotional breakdown
  • I feel disconnected from myself and others
  • I’m not fulfilling some of my responsibilities, missing deadlines or procrastinating
  • I’m worried about the long-term effects of how I’m living currently
  • People who care about me have noticed changes in me and voiced their concerns
  • I feel guilty, ashamed or frustrated with myself 

 

*If you checked even ONE box, you are at risk of burning out. The more you checked off, the deeper in risk you are.

 

If you selected less than 5, you may feel that things “aren’t THAT bad” and you’re managing it okay. We aren’t here to create more problems where they don’t exist – you have enough going on as is! But with burnout, it is very common to minimize your own feelings and tell yourself “it’s not that bad”. If this is you, doing 1:1 coaching or body-based healing can help you maintain wellness and create a personalized burnout prevention plan that you can implement into your daily life. 

 

If you checked off 5 or more, I can tell you that the pace you’re going at now is NOT sustainable and you are likely feeling pretty crispy. Unfortunately burnout does not repair itself on its own – something will have to change or something will give. Perhaps you were surprised at just how many you did check off! Or maybe you realized just how much you’ve actually been carrying. The fact that you went out of your way to check in with yourself and do this checklist tells me part of you knows that you’re struggling with something NOW.

 

One thing that’s really important for you to know is burnout is NOT your fault! There are many things that lead to burnout (which we’ll explore together) and if we’re being realistic, it’s not always easy to prevent. Especially if we’ve never looked at our own burnout causes and patterns. There is nothing wrong with you, you aren’t weak, but we aren’t superhumans either – we’re just HUMAN.
